Hopkins Physical Therapy – Expert Care Close to Home
If you live or work in Hopkins and need physical therapy, you do not have to travel far for experienced, therapist-owned care. OrthoRehab Specialists has treated patients from Hopkins and the western suburbs for more than twenty-five years, and our Edina clinic at 6600 France Avenue South is the closer of our two locations for most Hopkins residents. Our licensed Minnesota physical therapists have helped thousands of people recover from injury, surgery, and chronic conditions. To schedule an appointment, call 952.922.0330.
No two recoveries look the same, so no two treatment plans should either. Your therapist builds your plan around your specific pain, your activity level, and what you want to get back to, whether that is a job that keeps you on your feet, a sport, or simply moving through the day without discomfort. Each visit is one-on-one with the same therapist, so progress is tracked closely and the plan adjusts as you improve.

How Your Care Works
Care at OrthoRehab is evidence-based and hands-on. Your first appointment is a full evaluation: strength, flexibility, posture, range of motion, movement quality, and how your symptoms behave during the activities that matter to you. When it helps, we add objective testing such as isokinetic strength measurement, functional movement screening, and force-plate balance assessment so decisions are based on data rather than guesswork.
From that evaluation your therapist designs a plan that draws on manual therapy and joint mobilization, functional strengthening, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, soft tissue work, and pain-relief modalities where appropriate. You are re-assessed at every visit, and the plan is progressed as soon as you are ready. Whether you are preparing for surgery or recovering from one, we build a timeline with you and coordinate with your surgeon or physician when your case calls for it.
Getting Started Without a Referral
Minnesota is a direct access state, which means you can begin physical therapy without a physician’s referral. Most Hopkins patients can schedule an evaluation right away. We are in-network with most major health insurance providers, including Medicare, and our front office verifies your benefits and answers billing questions before your first visit. Private pay options are available for patients without insurance.
What You Take Home
Much of your recovery happens between appointments, so every plan includes a home exercise program that reinforces what you do in the clinic. Your therapist also teaches the body mechanics, posture habits, and workstation or sleeping adjustments that protect your progress. Patients who understand why each step matters tend to recover faster and stay healthier, so we make you an active participant in your care rather than a passive recipient of treatment.
Why Hopkins Patients Choose OrthoRehab
More than 600 medical providers across Minnesota refer their patients to OrthoRehab for continued care. We are owned and run by physical therapists, so clinical decisions are made by clinicians, and our reputation is built on treating the root cause of pain rather than just the symptoms.
Patients from Hopkins, Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, and the surrounding western suburbs are treated at our Edina clinic, with a second location in downtown Minneapolis for those who work in the city. Both clinics offer the same one-on-one model of care and the same testing equipment. Appointments are available early mornings and evenings to fit work and school schedules.
